Laura's lifelong passion for children's books began even before she graduated from Norwich School of Art in 2000 with a 1st class honours in Visual Studies. Her major project book was published following graduation and went on to win a prestigious V&A Illustration Award in 2002. Laura was then long listed for the BookTrust Big Picture Best New Illustrator award 2008.
Laura has continuously designed in and out of house for a variety of children's publishers in London. Now Art Director she also continues to write and illustrate children's books and has over 25 published works. She has won various awards for the design of children's books notably Early Years Excellence Award, Junior Design Award, British Book Design & Production Award, Book of the Year (The British Book Awards 2019) and judge on the book design category for the D&AD design awards 2022 and 2023.
Laura is passionate about pushing boundaries and producing children's books for the next generation and shares her enthusiasm with her son and daughter.
